John Temple Papers

Welcome! This exhibition showcases just a tiny fraction of the materials held in the Archives and Special Collections at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center, based at the University of Connecticut. It makes available multiple instantiations—including manuscripts, typescripts, galley proofs, and versions circulated through correspondence—of three poems written by the British revival poet, John Temple, as his 1973 collection, The Ridge, was developed for publication.

You can Experience the Archive in order to trace documents as organized chronologically at the Dodd Center, from correspondence through authorial and press typescripts to galley proofs, or look at Temple’s Revisions of Individual Poems in order to explore initial insights into the various potential poems present in the archive.
